A perfect product page consists of the following items:

  • Attractive and informative product images
  • Interesting and detailed product descriptions
  • Product demo videos
  • Clear placement of pricing
  • Clear add-to-cart buttons
  • Customer reviews and ratings

Use social media to drive sales

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that social media is playing a significant role in converting traffic to sales. Not only that – according to Ambassador, 71% of consumers who have had a good social media service experience with a brand are likely to recommend it to others.

Ever since Facebook went public, it has become a major player in marketing ecommerce businesses. Marketing agencies and business owners have been exerting effort (and spending money!) to make sure they’re keeping up.

Facebook allows a business page to add a Shop section. In order for one to do this, he must be logged on to Facebook and must have Admin privileges.

On your business page, click on the Shop tab:

If you don’t see the shop tab, follow these steps to add it.

Next, read and check the Merchant Terms and Policies box, then click Continue. Once done, click on Checkout on Facebook, then click continue.

You will then be asked to add details about the business, such as the business address and email address:

To use separate emails for customer service communications and payment processors (such as Stripe or Paypal), uncheck the “Use this email address for customer service inquiries” box and enter the customer service email you prefer.

For completion of purchases, Facebook offers two options: check out on Facebook or on another website.

The next step would be to set up Stripe and Paypal. If you choose Paypal, click Connect with Paypal to log in or sign up. If you already have an existing Paypal account, you’ll need to sign up for a Business account. Once done, click Submit. This goes the same way if you would like to connect a Stripe account.

Check out option 2: Check out on another website

The other type of shop allows people are sent to another website to check out and complete the purchase. To set this up, the “Check Out on Another Website” option should be checked. Facebook will ask for your password before you continue for security purposes.

After clicking on Continue, Facebook will ask you to include the website when you add products to your shop section. Then, choose the currency and click Save.

Listings on your Facebook shop should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • At least one image for each product. These images must be of the product itself, not graphical representations (illustration or icon) of the product. Images should also be easy to understand and show the whole product. Recommended resolution is 1024 x 1024 or higher. Formats should be square and should show the product up close. White backdrops are preferred.
  • Detailed descriptions that provide only information directly related to the product; also, descriptions should be grammatically correct and properly punctuated
  • No more than four variants for a product
  • Use variants instead of listing one product multiple times
  • Don’t use abbreviations

Create the perfect landing page

First impressions last, so making sure your visitors are greeted by a well-crafted landing page is a priority in any ecommerce sales and marketing strategy.

Landing pages should have qualities that is attractive enough to bring visitors into the product page or directly to the checkout page, even. Here some tips on what you can do to add an effective landing page:
